Sessions with Jess are spaces for heart, candor, humor, + big “ahas.”
Jess’ approach is informed by nearly two decades of wide ranging experience. Her work reflects the belief that clarity + alignment on your “why” is core to unlocking powerful, resonant communications that fuel transformation. Sessions integrate leadership development + management frameworks, strategic communications expertise, mindfulness meditation, narrative work, reflection + writing exercises, + outside-the-box creativity. Whether you’re an emerging or established leader, an entrepreneur, or an institution work is tailored to your goals + focuses on such themes as:
Unleashing your narrative. Excavate, expand, + reconnect to your personal narrative so you can move forward with power + vision. Understand + articulate your “why.” You’re launching a business, leaving a job after a very long time, or navigating a transition + feeling lost. Weave a clear, compelling narrative that connects seemingly “random” dots to express yourself more fully. Offered as 90-minute “narrative unlock” sessions, as part of speech development / coaching sessions, or part of longer-term work.
Amplifying your presence. Take up + hold space with purpose. Modulate your energy + deepen awareness of your positionality so you can wield it thoughtfully. Understand how your tone, pace, + pauses amplify or impact how you resonate when you speak + write. Become aware of ticks + habits. This is critical whether you’re delivering a keynote or simply want to show up powerfully in space. Get comfortable + grounded in your own skin. Fine tune your physicality to lend power to your voice.
Master nuance for different audiences. How do you stay grounded in your authenticity yet “speak the language” of those you’re trying to engage? For leaders seeking to inspire + convince different audiences (donors, investors, supporters). Unpack the nuances of word choice + framing. Understand how to determine what matters to your audience + how to speak to that in a way that is both comfortable but effective.
Refine your leadership voice. What is your unique leadership voice + how does it show up effectively? For those making the leap from do-er to manager, seeking to get clear on your values + style then mindfully translating this into skillful leadership approaches. For more established leaders looking to refine their leadership voice internally or externally, enhancing internal communications or developing bold thought leadership strategies.
Audacious thought leadership. For institutions or leaders looking to impact the world. Envision a strategy that is audacious, compelling, + supports the long-term transformation you seek. Make a strong footprint in a crowded sector. Hone your organizational voice. Consider platforms, approaches, + tactics. Ensure you are seen + heard in the right places.
Mindful internal communications. Internal communications is a core reflection of organizational health. Align internal communications with mission, vision, + values. Understand the power of mindful internal communications to contribute to positive org culture, engage + retain talent, + reflect your leadership. Prepare for + navigate a leadership transition effectively + mindfully.

What is the power of your voice?
It is so much more than what you say.
Your voice is multi-dimensional— it’s how you how you talk to yourself in hard moments; it’s how you connect to + inspire others; it’s how you lead; and it’s how you show up in your community + the world. Your voice is the most powerful tool you have. It’s the vehicle by which you connect your purpose to your values, + amplify that out into the world.
Whether you are delivering a talk to inspire a generation, raising funds for important work, launching a business, navigating a major transition, looking to refine your leadership, or seeking to re-ground yourself in your purpose, connecting to your authentic voice is a catalyst.
In social impact work, we often think, “it’s not about me.” While this is true in many ways, in order to be effective + in solidarity as changemakers + leaders, we must have clarity + transparency around our why — our voice.
Cultivating your voice requires a deeper relationship with self through mindful awareness + trust. It calls for courage + a commitment to showing up skillfully in alignment, time + again. The work entails remembering who you are *fully* so you can remained grounded in that. When you amplify your voice from that place, it has real power— power to inspire, mobilize, + transform.
